| On board the ferry to Batam |
 |
| Really match dao lou you! @longgangmei always entertains me! :D |
 |
| Checked into our Cabana and took a photo before we destroyed the rose petals. Hahaha, it's supposed to be romantic but we just jumped onto the bed and rolled around before throwing it away. -.- |
We went for a quick lunch in the resort, and ordered some pizzas! It was my first time trying Calzone pizza (folded pizza with mushrooms and egg etc) and it's so yummy that I don't mind going back to Batam just for this. Fo shizzle. Went for an hour long massage, and then decided to pass time by swimming and playing all sorts of ridiculous games in the pool. We were all damn hungry and eager to have dinner at the end of the day.

Our "romantic candlelight" dinner with frogs croaking occassionally
(ok, it was just me burping lah) |
 |
| Behind every successful President and Batman is a woman. |
Immediately after dinner, we decided it was a good idea to head out for supper. SAY WHUTTT? Hahahha such piggies we are, but I like ;) Imposed a lame rule that we all had to wear the ridiculous looking bandanna if we wanted to eat supper. Can't believe everyone actually tried to abide by this rule, teehee!

Behold the best of Batam: cheap hawker food!!!
From clockwise: hotplate tofu, sambal kang kong, gong gong, salted egg crab
Dammit, drooling as I look at this pic. Love the hotplate tofu! It's damn shiok. Also discovered my hidden talent as a gong gong digger. |
 |
| Next day: Woke up for breakfast and then rented electric bicycles to do some exploring. |
 |
| Took a shuttle bus to Nagoya town after checking out, and did what we did best... |
 |
| EAT!!!! D: |
Decided to hit the arcade for some pretty intense basketball games and then shopped like kings at their Hypermart before we had to head back to catch our ferry home.
 |
| Home sweet home :) |
It was a really short 2D1N trip, with lots of mouth action involved (aka eating). I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and the company of Anthony + the other crazy couple (Michelle and WJ). There isn't much to do in Batam really, but the awesome company made up for it. Kinda excited to plan for our next trip to Malaysia for more pigging out and perhaps some gokarting! :)
HAHAHA. omg lala i love the bandana rule.
ReplyDeleteHaha! i'm amazed that everyone actually followed it. :D we look so retarded with that piece of cloth!
