Here it is! My post for the Tioman trip is finally up! :) Anyway, I've gotta admit that everytime after an emotional post, I'd feel bad and post happier stuff to push down the sad post. Hahaha, retarded much. But it's good since it motivated me to blog today. Hee.
So, initially we were set to go to Aur, but there was a bad thunderstorm and so plans were changed at the last minute. We headed for Tioman instead, and I guess it's cool cause I haven't dived there before! But honestly, I think Aur is better than Tioman cause the visibility in Aur is clearer.
Met Antz and Weijie for dinner, and we stocked up on some sweets and drinks. Antz treated us to fried wanton dumpling! :) Yum yum. Then we chose the Mercedes mini van, and the uncle was like an F1 driver. Craziest driver ever okay! He went at 160km/hr on the opposite side of the road and even killed a squirrel while speeding! Hahaha. He tailgates every car also, damn scary! Dinner was Ramly burger for me. Super yummy, I love :D We stocked up on plenty of snacks and drinks to prepare for the time we'll spend on the LOB (Live-on-board).
on the bus, antz just kept playing either his psp or iphone...
so i had to find ways to entertain myself :)
i brought elmo with me in my bag!
he kept me company when antz was busy, hahaha.
I survived just wearing my Gul Evotherm rashguard and shorts!
Super nice to wear. I wish I have money to buy a full body wetsuit though.
Almost all the seamen can cook very well! :)
Puts girls like me to shame shame shame.

Our nonsense snacks! :) The white one is best.
This was the first time I got seasick cause the waves were rather crazy while we were going to Tioman. I felt so upset initially that I wished I could go home. And the thought of having no personal toilet was the worst. It made me dread bathing, changing clothes, peeing etc. The double decker bunk bed was really crappy and small, and we hardly had space to move. But as you can see, we all survived so it's not that bad. Throughout the trip, Antz took care of me really well! :) He lent me his shorts to wear to sleep and shirt to wear over my wet bikini, cause I packed minimally; and always gave me the better toilet out of the two. He always made sure I went up the boat before him and when we were diving, he usually held onto my hand :) He also gets me food everytime, heehee. Very impt this one. HAHA.
There was one dive he got narcosis (it's similar to an alcohol high, and can make you feel very relaxed to the point that you don't care about your safety) and he made the going crazy sign to me. But I didn't understand him. And after we surfaced, he said he was actually struggling within himself cause he had the urge to take out his regulator. Omg, luckily someone asked us to take a picture so he could snap out of it. If not I don't dare to imagine what'd happen :( Felt so bad after that. Then the next dive, I kept watching out for him. That idiot started singing under water to entertain himself and I immediately thought he got narcosis AGAIN! So I did the Okay sign to him, and he signalled back Okay but I wasn't convinced. I kept hearing him sing -.- Stupid boy. He told me he was bored underwater, rofl. So annoying, there were a few times I thought it was the whale shark singing! :( Give me false hope, this boy.
We met the triggerfish, which attacked our Dive Master and it was damn scary! :( We quickly siam it, but some kuku divers still went closer to take photo of it and it chionged towards them too. Lol, luckily no one was injured.
The highlight of this dive trip was definitely saving a cobia from the fishing trap (and spotting a nurse shark of course). We were diving aimlessly until we spotted a huge fish (bigger than me!) in the trap! Inside were a school of fish and some other random fish that I can't identify. So basically, Dimas tried to cut open the trap to free the cobia with his knife. Damn exciting. The cobia was chasing the school of fish around, and I was unsure whether it was carnivorous. Lol. So anyway the rescue mission took a long while (we maxed out our dive time!) cause even though the hole was cut, the fish were dumb enough not to realise it and we had to shake the trap countless times before one swam out and eventually the cobia followed. The coolest thing is that cobias are known to follow whale sharks around! :) So we were saying that the cobia probably went to tell his whale shark friend that we saved him and the whale shark will come thank us. Good karma leh! Heehee. Sadly, the whale shark didn't find us this trip but I'm sure it will one day :)
I'm sure y'all are curious to know what we saw, so here're some pics courtesy of Andy, one of the divers.
